Se Vende o Renta

Se Vende o Renta is a series of wall pieces that question the use and meaning of architectural space. The works reflect on how an apartment passes from one person to another, and how each inhabitant leaves behind a unique set of memories and ways of using the space. At the same time, the series considers the limitations imposed by pre-existing architectural design —spaces built with specific functions and restrictions in mind.

Each piece includes a Polaroid transfer of a real estate sign photographed in La Condesa, a neighborhood in Mexico City undergoing rapid gentrification. These images serve as traces of displacement, circulation, and the commercialization of domestic life.
